Dr. Robertson's Successful Treatment Recommendations

1) Most importantly, use a pillbox to insure compliance with medication dosing.

2) Bring a support person with you to appointments and have them call us if they are concerned. We will keep your information confidential but they may leave us a voicemail regarding the concern.
3) For nonurgent matters, call during regular business hours and leave a voicemail on the nurse message center. Nonurgent calls received before 11:00 a.m. will be returned the same day.

4) For urgent calls, please call anytime 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to leave a message. Emergency calls will be returned promptly.

5) Call before making any medication changes on your own that have not been recommended by us.

6) Call if you are having any significant adverse effects with the medication.

7) Bring a list of all medications to each visit including prescriptions from other doctors.

8) Report honestly your use of addictive substances.

9) Let us know if you are having financial problems that are affecting your ability to afford treatment so we can help you find a solution.

10) Be patient with your treatment. Medications may take several weeks to provide benefit.

11) Good nutrition and exercise are important. If you take any vitamins, supplements, or herbal remedies, please bring them for Dr. Robertson to review.

12) Counseling or psychotherapy is often critically important. Bring your list of preferred providers that are conveniently located near you, so we can help you choose the best therapist.
